About APE

APE was Azure Platform Engineering. Today, APE is AI Platform Engineering.

The acronym stays. The mascot — Apex, the red gorilla — stays. What changes is the lens: we’re a meetup for the engineers building AI platforms. Azure remains a first-class citizen in the room, but it’s no longer the only one.

We meet four times a year, and once a year — in December — we run the XXL at Apenheul.

APE is run by volunteers as a non-profit. Ticket sales and sponsorship cover the venue, AV, and the food and drinks. We operate under the Stichting Meetups entity. Chamber of Commerce: 90070534 (Netherlands).
